Stealing Viral Videos From Social Media And Then Feeding Them To The Unknowing Isn't Training Them.

It's affirming the perception of the lack of professionalism associated within the industry.

“There are people in real life who take viral clips off of social media posts from FitFluencers with bot followers & then prescribe what they saw on social media today, in unknowing people’s workouts, tomorrow.

And people pay real money for it.

The world is a wild place.”

Your run of the mill personal trainer is a wild character.

He or she is probably a person who grew up enjoying exercising and has some resemblance of health and commitment attached to them.

Let me tell you, this is phenomenal and I love it for them.

But I’ll also add, enjoying the concept of exercise for yourself is most definitely NOT a reason to get into personal training/strength & conditioning.

After about 3-6 months of personal training (congruent with the timeframe the initial stages of burn out in our industry tend to hit) the personal trainer listens to a Gary Vaynerchuk motivational podcast while he rambles about grinding and differentiating yourself.

So what does the personal trainer do?

Stay disciplined? Hit the books? Understand this a process and stay bought into the process!?

Of course not.

If they can’t come up with theatrical ideas on their own to have their middle aged clients perform on the floor of the globo gym, while they video them and say things like “good..good.. that’s what I want.”

Then they head straight for the ‘gram.

“The ‘gram?”

Of course, being rationale and sticking to fundamental modalities that are proven to yield results doesn’t do that “differentiating” thing that Gay Vee talked about on his podcast.

“I’ve got to be different!” (And by different, I mean get on social media and copy some other idiots attempt to be different.)

We live in a world where grown adults can pay $81 dollars for a weekend certification course, they can then take the piece of paper they paid for a printed to a globo gym and be hired by said globo gym, tomorrow.

Yes, that’s all it takes to begin collecting currency.

Once hired, it’s free game, there is no personal and professional development required.

There are no systems.

There is no process.

It’s merely collecting a bunch of viral crap on Instagram and tiktok today, so they can feed it to the unknowing, tomorrow.

And we wonder why the real coaches out there, who take pride in their craft & do things the right way, have a hard time being differentiated.

Those seeking a coach/trainer, please do even the smallest amount of homework.

If it smells, it’s likely sh*it.
