High levels of personal accountability are required to serve our youth in highest capacity possible regardless of setting.
“The average guy in the private sector (who never lasts) assumes the public school coach ‘sucks’.
You think the required qualifications in the public sector are low?
Qualifications in the private sector don’t exist.
Personal accountability is critical regardless of setting.”

As much as I am in the private sector and will always advocate for entrepreneurs who are willing to risk it all for the ability to serve others and provide for their families..
I am not “anti” public-sector at all.
I am “pro” ultra-high quality regardless of the setting.
In fact, I believe those who spend their time “knocking” public school teachers/coaches are some of the biggest losers to exist on the planet (I also believe the inverse to be true.)
I am the son of a career long public-school teacher and coach.
Some of my closest friends and colleagues work in the Middle School & High School settings.
If anybody knows how much time & effort goes into doing the underappreciated work these people do, it’s me.
Many of these people get to school before the sun rises and are there well after it sets, working more unpaid hours than paid hours.
Are there the most ultra-qualified professionals working in every HS Weight Room across America? There are some great ones, but from a broad perspective, the quality is low.
But I believe the quality is, again, broadly speaking, lower than what it could be in the United States because we underfund Health/PE/Sporting Departments, which in my humble opinion should be the highest funded departments.
But let’s switch over to the private sector now, “MY” sector.
To the bros out there who think the “HS Coach isn’t qualified and sucks!” if you think the qualifications/certifications are low in the HS setting, remember that qualifications/certifications in private sector don’t exist.
You don’t need a degree.
You don’t need a certification.
You don’t need continuing education.
You don’t need a background check.
You don’t even have to have any idea of what the hell you’re doing in any capacity to begin duping unknowing consumers’ as you steal other people’s work off Instagram and begin mindlessly feeding it to kids.
The solutions to “fix” the issues in the public and private sectors are above my pay grade, but here is what I do know regardless of the setting you’re in:
In order to serve our youth in the highest capacity possible, heaping volumes of personal accountability to do so are required.
The guys skating around quality never make a difference.
