Most Can't (Won't) Meet The Minimums.

When you double down on the micro, you create (extreme) distance from the average.

When you double down on the micro, you create (extreme) distance from the average.

“Most are going to overlook the ‘little things’.

It’s because they believe them to be small, miniscule.

They overlook the little things, completely ignorant to the fact that the little things are the big things.

Want to get ahead?

Double down on what the average overlook.”

I do a lot of writing.

It’s the best way I know how to express my thoughts.

And much like when I am speaking, I tend to let the pen, or in this case, the keyboard run.

But I came up with a phrase recently that is going to be the tagline for 2025 and likely beyond, for our business and my life, personally.

“Discipline creates distance”.

You can apply it to so many different things, but the premise is that the more of the “little”, unsexy, & what look to be menial things you consistently do, the further you can distance yourself from the pack.

We live in a country that has to write “do not eat” on dishwasher detergent.

A country that thinks the government is going to “take care of them”.

People really believe that.

And because the level of naivete is so grand in this country, it makes getting ahead so easy. I mean so fucking easy.

Most can’t (won’t) do the bare minimum. They’ve been conditioned by elders, environments, and apps that they don’t have to. Again, that’s MOST.

A few will do the bare minimum because of their upbrining, morals, and ethics. But that’s only a few in today’s world.

Very, very, very few will go above and beyond and do regularly, far more than what’s asked of them.

So, here’s the deal if you want to get ahead, knowing most won’t do the bare minimum, only a few will meet the minimums, and only an extreme few will go above and beyond.

Take what the average person overlooks in their day to day life and double down on it.

Seriously, that’s all you have to do.

Because each time you perform one of these “micro” (macro) disciplines, whether it’s sweeping the corners or getting that late night workout in, you’re beating the ass of the man (boy) who won’t even pick-up a broom or the guy who is “too busy” to even put his running shoes on.

One single action begins to create distance.

Can you imagine doing it 5,000 times in a row when they can’t even do it once?

Not only do you beat the competition’s ass, you start playing the game on an entirely different field.
