Gratitude Is A Super Power.

And you can call on it at any given time of day.

And you can call on it at any given time of day.

“Gratitude is a weapon.

It allows you, regardless of circumstance, to reframe your mindset and focus on the positive.

The greatest part about it?

The magnitude (or lacktherof) of positivity you find has no bearing of gratitudes power.

Seek positivity.

It’s always there.”

“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth & our freedom.”

I’m a big quote guy.

And this quote from neurologist, psychologist, philosopher, and Holocaust Survivor, Viktor Frankl is my favorite one of them all.

If you’ve not read his book, “Man’s Search For Meaning”, I highly recommend it. It’s about the power of the mind, resilience, grit, and unrelenting positivity as he shares his story of triumph and leadership inside a concentration camp he was exempted from, but chose to endure because his family did. It is unbelievable and incredible.

While I nor you will likely ever face the magnitude of hardship Viktor Frankl and those who suffered the unthinkable of concentration camp life, I chose to take something From Viktor’s life and apply it to my own.

Unrelenting positivity regardless of circumstance and gratitude.

My life isn’t perfect, much like I assume yours isn’t.

Most of what happens to us is outside of our control, giving us only very little to control.

This makes controlling what we can control and controlling how we respond to what we can’t, incredibly important.

Because if we don’t, the uncontrollables in our lives can wreak havoc on our quality of life.

You can get pissed about the rain and kick the wall or you can use the time “trapped” inside to have some intentional time with your loved ones.

You choose.

What makes gratitude so special is that even in the worst of times, there is still some positivity present if you look.

This is true from the example about the rain above, all the way to the concentration camp.

“Huh? What the hell can be positive about a concentration camp?”

The ability to deny yourself and be a beacon of hope for others.

And this is what makes gratitude a weapon, the ability to harness and leverage it in even the worst of conditions.

Positivity and gratitude will always be there for the taking.

“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing, the last of the human freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” – Viktor Frankl
