Do These 5 Things And You'll Remove The Possibility Of Failure.

Bonus: They are free, too.

Bonus: They are free, too.

“1. Give a Sh*t.

  1. Communicate.

  2. Focus on Service.

  3. Carry yourself like a Pro.

  4. Do 1 through 4 Consistently.

I don’t know a lot, but I know the above work damn well.

Outside of effort, they don’t cost much, either.”

You’ll often see (if you look) “Keys to Success” articles, books, videos, posts, etc. all over the place.

Many of the good lists have the same recurring themes, which can often be summarized as “doing the fundamentals well, consistently.”

Because this advice is “boring” many folks gloss over the simplicity, foolishly believing that “it could never be that easy” which is the precise reason most maintain fixed mindsets and stay stuck in their own way as they complain about how the world is unfair.

I have 4 principles I try to live by (yes, I make mistakes) that I truly believe have helped me on my pursuit of success and if you think I’m going to hit you with some complex formula, well, my friend, you’d be guessing wrong.

1.  Give a Sh*t. I put this at the top of the list because I truly think there is nothing more important and nothing easier than simply giving a shit. Seriously, all you have to do is care. Not like “say you care” but actually deeply give a shit about what you’re doing and who you’re serving. You should do this give a shit thing, forever.

2.  Communicate. Being in business for 13 years if I’ve learned anything, it is the importance of ultra clear, timely, effective communication. And while communication is dumb easy (all you have to do is communicate) I’ve found that many people are really good at screwing this simple concept up. If you want to win, communicate. If you want to lose, act like a child and don’t communicate. It’s really that simple.

3.  Focus on Service. Whatever you do, whether it’s providing a product or service, the “thing” you sell/do really isn’t about you. It’s about the beneficiaries of what you sell/do. Make them the main character of the story. Serve them.

4.  Carry yourself like a Pro. It all matters. How you walk, talk, present of yourself, and act matters, all the time. Are you acting like an amateur or a Pro? Are the choices you make those that a true Professional would make? If you’re unsure or questioning yourself, you’re acting like an amateur. Act like a Pro.

Lastly, do the above consistently. Forever.

The concept of failure will no longer even be an option.
