They have nothing to do with sets or reps, either.
“This Year marks the start of Year 13 at Zingler Strength.
I’ve learned a lot of things since I started this business at 19 years old.
Here’s what’s most important:
Build rock solid trust with people.
Absolutley love the hell out of them.
Challenge them to grow.”

Throughout Middle School and High School, I loved and played sports, but my passion was training.
I loved it so much that after Friday Night football games, I’d excitedly put myself through several hour-long leg training sessions while my buddies were out at parties.
It was very clear that I wanted to take my passion and turn it into my profession.
I tinkered back in fourth with the public and private sector ideas, but ultimately stumbled on private, despite being a monumentally more challenging route, because I wanted to be in charge of my own success or failures.
After High School, the basement gym my dad trained me and others in our community up in was in need of a transition.
Dad, owning another entirely unrelated business didn’t have time to train students and operate his business effectively, so with the clients, who at this time you could count on less than half the fingers on one hand, I “took over”.
At the time, I thought I was big time running my own business (aka not having a clue in hell what I was doing.)
I kept my head down and worked though, and by the grace of God, it “took off”.
Strength & Conditioning was (and still very much is) a major part of my life.
But I’ll tell you where I missed it, despite having the outward appearance of success.
I thought it was all about training. The different modalities. Sets, reps, & physical results.
But then a few years into it, I noticed the training got stale not in the sense that I didn’t produce results and serve my clients with the utmost energy and professionalism, I assure you I did, but there was something more to it and I wasn’t sure what it was.
I’ve since learned that moreso than any of the “training” this business and damn near ALL businesses are about people.
It’s about developing trust, becoming a trusted resource in the lives of others.
It’s about truly caring and deeply loving those who have come to trust you.
It’s about challenging those people so that they can grow and move the needle in their lives.
It’s not about X’s and O’s, it’s about loving Jimmy’s & Joe’s.
