And they don’t cost a dime to develop, either.
“Successful people are:
Timely
Trustworthy
Accountable
Organized
Detail-Oriented
Positive
Constantly Learning
Always Growing
Adding Value
Making Others Smile
As you can see, the majority of success, hinges not on skill, but on effort.”

From my early 20’s through my life today, I have rigorously studied personal growth, development, & successful people.
I’ve learned that while
where you start out on the hill definitely matters, having a “leg up” isn’t the key differentiator between the successful and unsuccessful.
Effort is the differentiator. It’s free, too.
1. Successful people are on time. There is nothing else that needs to be said. They understand the value of being timely and have respect for their own and others time.
2. Successful people tell the truth. Again, it doesn’t get much simpler than having integrity and telling it like it is. Sure, you’ve seen the con-artist lie his way to success, but is he successful in all the columns or just the monetary one?
3. Accountability is king. Can people count on you to do what you said you were going to? Successful people take tremendous pride in being accountable not only to themselves, but to those who depend on them.
4. Are you organized? I don’t mean does your house look HGTV ready, but do you have your shit together? Do you know what direction you’re going in? Are you acting on your purpose every day? Successful people are.
5. The little things are the big things. The vast majority of people look over the seemingly small stuff and fixate on the big stuff. Successful people know that the “little stuff” is actually the big stuff. They double down on what the unsuccessful overlook.
6. Positivity is contagious. Successful people change their default setting from negative to positive. Even (especially) when they don’t feel like it.
7. Successful people are forever students. They are always learning to increase their value to the world.
8. They are always growing. They are always self-aware. They know where they fall short and they know the importance of constantly growing.
9. Successful people scoff at the bare minimum. They are always doing more. Not in an effort to earn extra points, but because adding value to situations is in their DNA.
10. (Truly) successful people recognize they are on this earth to serve others and want to see others succeed and be happy. They contribute to the betterment of others.
