Real Athletes Prioritize And Invest In Real Training

‘Going to the gym..’

Are as different as Lamborghinis & 3-wheeled push lawn mowers.”

Real athletes Train.

Bro’s and people who have looked (and acted) the same for a decade “go to the gym”.

There are stark differences between training and “working out”.

In a day and age where life overall is generally more competitive, I find it funny that in the youth athlete scene (that is rapidly growing in competitive nature by the day) we, and by we, I mean parents, will undermine the concept of preparation and performance enhancement.

Parent’s will pay (tens of) thousands of dollars to play in these bullshit “showcase” tournaments that nobody on earth cares about, all in an effort to get a partial discount on a college to degree.

Guess what is far more cost effective than the money you spend from 10-18 on “trying to make it to the next level”.. an OVERPRICED college degree.

Read that again.

An OVERPRICED college degree is far most cost EFFECTIVE than what people spend their money on as it relates to youth sports.

And the kicker to it all..

People will happily pay for what they perceive to be investments at the EXPENSE of passing on the actual constructs that will IMPROVE their child’s performance.

It is the most ass backwards, cart before the horse nonsense in the world.

Professionally coached, programmed, and administered strength and conditioning is without a shadow of a doubt the lowest hanging fruit when it comes to optimizing athlete performance, but people will say “iT’s ToO eXpEnSiVe” while they blow thousands at a tournament nobody cares about.

Why on earth would we pay MORE for what is already OVERPRESCRIBED? Oh yeah, and this over-prescription of said sporting activity, is NOT leading to enhanced performance.

It’s leading to limited athleticism, preventable injury, burn out, and negative implications on adolescent mental health.

Don’t believe me? Check the research.

Shit, who am I kidding, of course you won’t check the research.

We’ll just do what we’ve always done and expect a different result. The good ‘ol American way.

Pay attention though.

The best athletes aren’t “going to the gym”

They are prioritizing their performance enhancement with a professional coach who knows and understands how to improve athletic performance.

That is why they have the edge your kid doesn’t on the field, and most importantly in life.
