People Will Jump At The Opportunity To Cast Votes Of Affinity For Their Favorite (Unrelatable) Celebrity

But it’s always judgement & criticism for those who are making a real difference on their same shared patch of dirt & here’s why:

“We live in a world where people will cast votes of affinity for celebrities who won’t ever acknowledge their existence, much less know their name.

All while they judge & criticize people in their own backyards who are working tirelessly to make a difference in their own communities.”

-Ray Zingler on X

It’s the craziest thing in the world to me, but with each passing year I understand it more and more.

For the average person, when you see somebody close to you in your hometown, busting their ass, putting real skin in the game, and making an actual difference in real lives that share the same patch of dirt as you.. and you’re not doing that..

It’s easy to get offended.

And yes, offended is the right word.

Instead of people using people who are actually relatable as catalysts for inspiration, they view their peers efforts and successes as threats to their ability to create their own.

“The people who are doing it, serve as reminders to those on the sidelines, that they never chased their dreams at all” according to Alex Hormozi and he’s 100% right.

It’s scarcity mindset 101.

Oh but rest assured when Taylor Swift drops a new album release announcement or some actor who not for one second of their entire existence will even consider caring about the fact that you breathe puts out a pointless piece of content, like salivating wolves, they are starving to smash their iPhone screens with convicted double taps and shares to their stories.

Why is it though?

Why are they so eager to cast votes of affinity for those who only care about the $ they will generate for them (that they’ll later bitch about “rich celebrities” and how they should be taxed more, lol) but not for the guy in their own backyard who ACTUALLY cares about them?

The guy who shops at the same grocery store, who eats, hell who owns, the local restaurant that you eat at, the guy who has committed his entire life to bettering YOUR community?

Why support the celebrity, but not you, the “little guy”?

It’s because the celebrity is so far removed from their reality, and these people have such limited mindsets, supporting them isn’t a direct threat to “what they could have been”.

They’ve put these people on a pedestal and praise them because they know they can “never be like them.”

But you?

They’ll never be like you, either. They don’t have the discipline, skills, or mindset.

But they could have.

And that’s exactly why they don’t support you.
