And we must utilize qualified coaches and trainers to lead them
“We would never let unqualified teachers teach our kids.
We would never let unqualified doctors treat our kids.
But we let unqualified trainers train our kids every day.
‘It’s just training.’
Nah, training is a construct that can impact the quality of a human life.”

It is no secret that we are underprioritizing health and physical literacy in modern America.
Our school PE programs have been dwindled down to rubbish.
Our youth sport participation is as low as it’s ever been (yes, there are few doing a lot, but the overall number of participants is substantially down.)
Our adult population is riddled with preventable disease an illness.
Those 3 examples are a cliff notes version of the levels and layers of problems we have surrounding our people’s prioritization of health and fitness in modern America.
Can you see the trend?
It’s not even that we are “baking it out of our kids as they get older” we aren’t even baking it into them as they grow up.
If adults don’t prioritize health and fitness, how can we expect our screen raised kids to learn about and prioritize it?
We can’t.
It’s why our youth, overall, is as unhealthy as they’ve ever been as they choose between their processed food options at school before going back to sit in a chair for another 4 hours.
Many will argue that intellect is the most important thing in our world, however according to Mark Rippetoe, that nod goes to physical strength.
“Physical strength is the most important thing in life. While it has become less important to our daily lives, it has become no less critical to our existence as our physical strength still determines the quantity and quality of time we have in these bodies.”
Now you can think the guy is a cook or you can think about it critically.
Maybe you disagree with him, but is he entirely wrong?
The fact of the matter is this:
We would never let unqualified teachers teach our kids.
We’d never let unqualified doctors doctor them up, either.
But with each passing day we will allow unqualified people to train our kids (if they are even training at all)?
This isn’t just some like “whatever, check the box” activity.
It is a construct that has immediate positive implications on our youth today, but (way) more importantly potential implications on the quality of their life, forever.
Encourage them early.
Have qualified people teach them young.
The quality of their lives depends on it.
