False teachers have been around since the beginning of time.
“False teachers have existed since the beginning of time.
In the modern world, it’s never been easier for them to manipulate.
This is why the real ones must speak up & speak out.
If you truly care about people, educating them to help them discern falsity is a civic duty.”

“Don’t worry about what they are doing over there focus, on you!”
It’s still great advice, it really is, but it comes with a caveat.
You don’t have to worry about what they are doing for your own sake, but you should worry about what they are doing for the sake of others.
Because I am in the field of S&C/Performance, I speak on what I know, and I will continue you to do so. However, the message reins true in fields across the spectrum.
I don’t speak out against the bulljunk (thanks Deion) in my industry because I need it for me.
It doesn’t help me in any way to talk about what I already know is wrong. It adds not a single percentage point of value to my life.
But the reason I speak out so vehemently about it is because I know that if I don’t, I am not who I say I am.
And who I say I am is a person who truly cares about others.
And if I care about others, I must take it upon myself to act not in accordance with what I personally need, but what others need.
And others who don’t know what they don’t know (about a particular topic) need help with the ability to discern right from wrong.
Now whether they heed the advice or not from someone working tirelessly to help them, is obiously up to them, but I am not going to halt my mission of serving others because some people may choose not to listen.
If I stay quiet, it’s a vote for the opposition.
Again, this as true for strength & conditioning as it is for farming and plumbing.
So yes, stay in your lane. Focus on your craft. Put out what you’re looking to attract. I believe (and act on) all of that, but also recognize this:
In 2023 there have never been more wolves in sheep’s clothing using social media to manipulate the unknowing for personal gain.
If you truly care about people, it’s never been more important to speak up and speak out with conviction on what is right.
And sometimes that involves calling out what is wrong.
It’s uncomfortable because calling nonsense comes with labels, but worth it because the right people will hear you.
