And, “coincidentally” we’re dealing with health problems on a scale the world has never seen?

In 2023, we have more convenience than ever, yet ‘less time’ than we‘ve ever had.

It’s why people have never felt more disconnected. It’s why loneliness and insecurity are so rampant.

People need people.

Go be that somebody for somebody.

It’s a premium in today’s world.”

Technology is great.

The point of the message isn’t to demonize convenience or modernization.

There are many things I love about the “old way” but my preference will always be the blend of old school and new school.

Regardless, it’s important to pay attention to what big tech did to us as a people.

While they most certainly streamlined processes and brought convenience to a scale the world has never seen, they created an addiction on the back end that is absolutely ruining people.

It’s ruining friendships, relationships, marriages, and just basic interaction between emotional beings who walk through life on earth. It’s ruining confidence and self-esteem, while simultaneously increasing inferiority and loneliness.

Now this obviously isn’t big tech’s fault per se because despite them creating the addiction, we as a people still have free will to use or not use the screens (at the scale we are).

So where am I going with this?

People need people. Like real people. In real life. To make emotional connections. To get off the surface. To (actually) be there for others.

Human connection has always been and will forever be a massive pillar of health.

And the craziest part about it, is now we have the TIME to dig even deeper.

To get with people. To listen to them. To be empathetic. To actually CARE about them.

“Pshh.. in today’s world? No way. We don’t have time to do that, we’re so busy!”

And that’s exactly what the big tech matrix wants you to think and they’ve got you damn convinced, too.

On one hand, they’ve solved the time-consuming problems, from research to amazon, all the way to food delivery services, but now we have less time than we did 20 years ago?

Are you sure?

I’m not great at math, but with time saving conveniences, that, by definition, purchases us MORE time, as the 24-hour day is unchanging.

It’s common knowledge. We have more time. We just don’t use that time effectively.

If you don’t believe me, go to the settings on your phone and look at the hours spent on your device.

Could some of that time not have been saved and traded for being there for somebody else in dire need of real connection?

Be somebody for somebody in real life.

It’s a premium.
