The neat thing about winners and losers is that you get to choose which one you want to be.
“Winners:
Accept Responsibility
Minimize Self
Add Value
Solve Problems
Encourage Others
Leave When Finished
Defer Credit
Losers:
Make Excuses
Crave Attention
Detract
Instigate Problems
Blame Others
Leave When Convenient
Take Credit”

There are winners and there are losers. There is no in between.
The cool thing about being a winner or a loser, in life, is that you get to choose.
1) Winners accept responsibility. They understand “if not me, then who?” and take the requisite action required to get to where they/their group need to go.
Losers don’t do this. Losers make excuses and defend why ‘x’ isn’t their responsibility. Losers wait for somebody else to take charge and then complain about it when they do.
2) Winners minimize themselves. I don’t mean in the sense of undervaluing themselves, they just ensure that they and their actions contribute to the success of the of the objective. Winners like to blend in, but consequently they stand out.
Losers are me-centric. They crave attention and want you to know when (if) they do something right. They care more about you “seeing it” than anything else.
3) Winners add value. They are strategic in their efforts and understand that they are only of value if they add value to the situation. There is no neutrality. If you’re not adding value, you’re detracting from it.
Losers detract, they aren’t looking to add value. They are looking to exist. They stand there (often in the way) while the winners do the work.
4) Winners solve problems. They recognize there are problems, but instead of complaining about them, like losers do, they solve them.
Losers instigate problems. They lack a growth mindset, so defer to juicy gossip and culture destroying problems. Losers always have a problem for every solution.
5) Winners encourage. They understand by building others up, they increase their chances of team success.
Losers don’t do that. Losers blame others because it’s the only fuel they have to nurture their fragile ego.
6) Winners aren’t in a hurry. They are focused and leave when the job is finished/the objective is completed.
Losers are always in a hurry. They are looking to put forth the minimal effort required to not be penalized.
7) Lastly, even though winners deserve credit, they defer credit. It’s because they understand it isn’t about them, but about the group.
Losers love to do none of the work, but take all the credit. Remember those group projects in High School?
